30 persons who inspired me

As I am going to turn 30 in less than 40 days, this weekend- i was thinking, who were the 30 most inspiring persons that had impact on my life directly. Whom i got to learn something from. I made a short list of people who inspire me and a couple of lines on why they inspire me. I am writing this to appreciate their presence in my life. This list is by no means exhaustive, i will keep updating the list on the upcoming years. So here goes the list (in no particular order):

  1. Mom and Dad — Its hard to pen-down in how many ways you inspire me. But, if i could learn one thing from you two, that would be to love unconditionally .
  2. Jaharlal Sarker: The legendary math professor of NotreDame College. He inspired to learn the fundamentals of anything and preached to live a life of principles.
  3. Saqib Rezwan: Saqib bhai was my team-lead in Kona Software Lab. He used to give 100% effort for his work. He always used to give credit to team-mates and take faults to himself.
  4. Gazi Mohammad Ahsanul Kabir: He is the popular writer of HSC chemistry text-book. Kabir sir was all about 100% discipline. He taught me to “show up and follow up” everytime, regardless of the situation.
  5. Minaoar Hossain Tanzil: Tanzil bhai was Managing Director of Kona Software Lab, my previous workplace . I respect him for his incredible work ethic, hunger for knowledge and honesty.
  6. Abdus Salam Azad: This friend of mine is so talented and so caring . Another great thing about azad is that he doesn’t complicate things. He targets one thing at a time, and achieves them one by one.
  7. Arif Imtiaz: Imtiaz is very responsible as a friend , as a son, as a partner. He is really caring .He calls his closest friend every month for a long phone calls and engages in deep rooted conversations.
  8. Khaleqdad Khan: Khan bhai was Managing Director of Kona Software Lab, my previous workplace . He is an amazing listener and is very empathetic towards all his team-mates .
  9. Tariqur Rahman: My friend from BUET Debating Club. He never panics , always stays calm. Great listener, manager, leader.
  10. Madhusudan Basak: My dear friend from dept of cse,buet. Madhu is like water, he instantly takes the form of the person next to him and blends with everyone. Such a social butterfly.
  11. Sirat Samyoun: Legendary athlete friend of buet. I learnt to be passionate and disciplined for the craft from sirat. He is one of the finest listener i have come across.
  12. Tariq M Nasim : Nasim bhai was my ex-teamlead .I have always found bhai to be a great team man. He always defended his team mates. Nasim bhai has great sense of humor too.
  13. Imran Hasan Hira: Bhai always have a smile in his face. I always found him studying for his craft and honing his skills.
  14. Kaysar Abdullah: Kaysar is a super talented friend. He is always very calm headed in any situations. And always up for a chill.
  15. Imran Raja & Mahdi Habib: These two have a very special place in my heart. I will forever remember their intense passion for debate and what sacrifices and hard-work they did for achieving that break in wudc
  16. Samia Aboni: Aboni has this vibrant aura of positivity all around her. I like how she presents the unfiltered self to everyone.
  17. Unaiza Mannan: Unaiza Mannan is all about motherly warmth long before she herself became mother. Its hard to see this much caring person nowadays.
  18. Mushfequr Rahman: So diversely talented, yet so humble as a person. Mushfeq, was my longest-time debate partner. He has been an astonishing achiever in his life, yet he keeps a very low profile.
  19. Nureen Faiza Anisha: An avid book-reader , debater, environmentalist. She can light-up any place with her puns and lame jokes.
  20. Mamunur Rashid: Also known as ‘Jhapsha Mamun’ . He is the funniest guy i know. His sense of humor is out of this world.
  21. Kauser Ahmed : Kauser has supported me when i needed the most. I share the most memories with him at my university days. Such a funny friend to have.
  22. Iftekharul Rupam : Rupam is one of the most self-less person i have come across. He is a little weird, but such an amazing friend. Rupam also had always stood by me when i needed the most.
  23. Samira Bari Rifat: Samira is one of the most liveliest person i have met. Her energy-level is contagious .
  24. Rishad Sharif: Rishad bhai is the most charismatic man i have ever come across. When rishad bhai speaks, everybody just listens with awe .
  25. Abir Hasan Niloy: Abir bhai is one of the most compassionate human being i have ever seen. Another great thing about abir bhai is, he is always looking to give back to his community. He is such an achiever, yet so down to earth.
  26. Mabroor Wassey: One of the finest human being i came across through debating. Mabroor bhai always gave back to the community.
  27. Minhaz Khan: Minhaz bhai has a super-power . He can instantly make a stranger turn into a good friend.
  28. Abul Kalam Faruk: I admire faruk for his uncanny knack of thinking anything from scratch and thinking from multiple perspective.
  29. Galib Ibn Anwarul Azim: Galib bhai is one of the finest critic i have seen in our times. I find his way of thinking, analyzing and then putting them into words to be simply stunning .
  30. Syed Ishtiaque Ahmed Kallol : Kallol sir is one of the finest young intellectuals i have seen in our times. Its hard to find a well-read person like him these days.
  31. Safir Abdullah : Safir is someone who sees the world in a somewhat different eye than most of us. I am a fan of Safir`s perspective and writing.
  32. Rezaul Karim: Reza sir from Notre Dame College inspired us to be full of positive energy and to be hopeful in the darkest of the days.
  33. Tanmoy Kumar Saha: Tanmoy was the most brilliant among all my school friends. He is a legend among medical students as well for his achievements. But, this boy is so humble and down to earth.
  34. Nadim Chowdhury: Nadim bhai was my mentor in my buet admission test days. He believed in me , when i did not believe in myself. I have learnt to set big targets and work hard to achieve them from Nadim bhai.
  35. Anamil Chowdhury: Anamil Sir was my English teacher in school. He always used tell me that I am special.
  36. Munir Sarkar: Munir sir was my English teacher in school as well. He inspired me to be creative in my writing . I learnt some good vocabulary from him. Till this day sir calls all the way from london every 3-4 months. I feel so special to have someone like him as a mentor.
  37. Abdus Sobhan: Sobhan sir used to teach Bangla in school days. He had this hypnotic power over his students . He was a rare combination of wisdom, work ethics and principals.

    Just realized, the list of 30 just got enlarged to be list of 37 . I will keep it that way, to remind myself that indeed i have an overflow of people in my life, whom i really look up to. I’d like to thank all of the above people for inspiring me, for making me think, believe, learn, create, contribute,smile, give back and love.
