The secret to a long life, with fountain of youth lies in exercise & in being active. But , one needs to do 3 types of exercise to get the full benefits. You can steal my routine :
𝟏. 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬
I do strength training, with lifting weights- preferably 3-4 times per week. Focusing on getting stronger on big compound movements like squat, deadlifts,pullups, dips, bench press, overhead press etc. I train in a 3X fullbody every week .
𝟐. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨
The trick to doing cardio is doing any kind of sports or activity that you enjoy that gets you sweating. This can be running/swimming/football /dance or anything. I like to do kettlebell swings and some dancing with my daughter. 1-2 times per week.
For the vast majority of people, a great source of cardio is just walking. I try hitting 10-12k steps per day. Walking also helps me keep my mood fresh and my mind calm.
𝟑. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
I do daily yoga poses or stretching, for increasing flexibility, even if it is for 2 minutes a day. I target to get a short 5 minute stretching session in the bed before going bed on weekdays, and a longer 10-15 minute stretching sessions on weekends.
If you are strong in the gym, if you keep your heart healthy by doing cardio & daily steps, if you are flexible- you will be unstoppable. This will keep the fountain of your youth , ever flowing. Hope you have a long and amazing life my friend
