Alhamdulillah. Cracked CISSP in the very 1st attempt.

CISSP is one of the most prestigious and toughest international certification exam in cyber-security arena.CISSP= Certified Information System Security Professional

Even just a few months ago i thought CISSPs were GOD like creatures that you only get to hear stories about . You idolize them but never get to be one of them.
It is common to see people with decades of experience in cyber-security preparing for this exam for months/years and still failing it for multiple times.

Last 2 months, aside from my work i studied 6 hour(weekdays) to 16 hours(weekends, holidays) per day. Went through all the major books, audio-video lectures, question-banks, podcasts. Squeezed even the last bits of my time and energy to prepare for this. I really dont think it was humanly possible to give any more effort from my side.

Yesterday, was the monster exam day. The clock started. but even from Question 1, I was like “woah what the hell is this?!” The questions hit me real hard. They weren’t anything like what i read/solved. Each of them seemed like a mystery piece of puzzle.And, none of the answers seemed like a bullseye . Had a really head-scratching tough time choosing the correct answers . Half way down the time, i was way behind the number of question i should have done with. I felt like was wasting my time, noway I am gonna pass this .

I remembered one of my idol, Mohammad Ali . When George Foreman beat Ali hard for 5-6 rounds, he whispered in his ears, “That’s all you have got, George”. Then George Foreman understood that he is fighting with a different beast here and Ali knocked him out in the next rounds.

I took a deep breath midway down the exam and said to myself “That’s all you have got, cissp.I will beat you down in next half” . At question 100th, the exam ended.I had chills running through my spines. And when I went to get the printout and turned it over and it said “CONGRATULATIONS….”!!

Lots of emotion , to say the least.I seriously can’t wipe the smile off my face. Haven’t felt this much relieved , happy for a while.
